I read a new book which is named Wuthering Heights.
Heathcliff was taken to the Wuthering Heights by Mr. Earnshaw. He played with a girl named Catherine very well when they were young until they became inseparatable. Everything was fine, but after the death of the Wuthering Heights’ owner, Hindly began to show his hatrid for Heathcliff. He treated him as a servant and was always scolding him. As time went by, Catherine started to dislike Heathcliff’s poverty, and finally, she made the decision to get married to Liton, who was the son of Thrushcrass Grange. Heathcliff was so angry that he ran out. Then he came back when he was rich.
Heathcliff gambled with Hindy for revenge. He married Liton’s sisiter Isabella. Catherine became badly ill and died in childbirth. Heathcliff cheated the Eaethshaws of their property Wuthering Heights and also took the Linton’s Thrushcross.
When little Hareton and Catherine grew up, they fell in love with each other. Heathcliff was against them at first, but he agreed on their love at last. He stayed in his room, neither eating or sleeping. Eventually, he died in the mannor, lonely.
This is a story about love and revenge. I don’t know what made Heathcliff get so crazy that he turned love into hate. When we meet something or somebody that makes us get crazy, we should be calm and shouldn’t transfer the sufferings onto other people. Revenging isn’t the best way to solve the problem. Don’t do onto others as you wouldn’t be done.
